DBS Health Information names Tracy Paul new President/CEO
DBS Health Information has been honored to have the current owner and former President, Bob Atchison, at the helm of our company for the last 30 years. Bob and Fran Atchison, as major stockholders of the corporation, will continue to serve the organization on the Board of Directors. As these founders continue to enjoy retirement they confidently transfer the responsibility of President and CEO of DBS Health Information to their daughter, Tracy Paul.
Tracy Paul graduated from Oregon State University in 1993 with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies. She ventured on to become the Program Director for a local outdoor youth camp. In 1996 she found herself being called back to the family business. Working under the tutelage and mentorship of the owners, Bob and Fran Atchison, Ms. Paul quickly advanced her position of leadership and showed the same heart for small business as her predecessors. Having served 20 years working within the organization she has proven herself by actively leading operations and business decisions for the company. Tracy lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband and their two children. She enjoys camping, the beach, reading a good book and engaging with her local church community.
DBS Health Information also announces the appointment of EPIC PIPER as Vice President.
Epic Piper was our former Operations General Manager. As his position and job description has evolved over the last 22 years of employment with DBS Health Information, the designation as Vice President reflects his current job assignments within our company. Joining the DBS team in 1993, Mr. Piper quickly advanced in our business earning his RH I T credentials. He has served on multiple OrHIMA boards, including assisting in writing the Guidelines for Release of Information. Currently Mr. Piper is studying for his Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics. He resides in Portland, Oregon with his 11-year-old son. He enjoys running up mountains and playing his guitar on occasion.
We are looking forward to seeing where this leadership team will take our organization over the years to come. Their partnership in the vision of the organization and their desire to maintain the integrity of our mission statement, are a winning combination as we move into the future.
One of the long time benefits of partnering with DBS is that the executive leadership team also serves as your day-to-day operational team. Therefore, given these changes, you will not see a big difference in the day-to-day functioning of DBS. These leaders not only set up the structure of the organization but they maintain it and are the front lines in our customer service structure.
